Premise: Comedy Writing for Improvisers (ONLINE CLASS)

This collaborative writer’s room is geared toward improvisers curious about other forms of comedy, and for sketch and standup writers wanting to add to their idea generation toolkit. Using the Embassy’s style of truthful, game-based improv, you will mine real life stories and observations for comedic ideas, develop your unique writing voice, and learn how to adapt ideas to different comedy styles. By the end of the course, you will have a collection of sketches and standup bits that you can continue to refine for future performances. There will be homework!

Tuesday, 7 to 9 pm, April 21 to May 12 (with Dani Alon)
