We’ve got a packed December coming up!
First is the return of our Indie Showcase, which brings together different troupes and styles of improv from around the Ottawa improv community. Our headliners this time are Litprov, a troupe that does improv scenes inspired by famous authors. That show is Tuesday, Dec. 4, at Avant Garde Bar, at 8:30 pm. (details)
Next is our third annual Holiday Show and Social. We’ve have performances ranging from comedic songs to standup to improv, plus a special jam at the end for anyone who wants to get on stage. This is a great opportunity to meet others in the Embassy community and to raise money (and food) for the Ottawa Food Bank. Wednesday, Dec. 12, at 7:30 p.m. at Irene’s Pub. (details)
And, of course, there’s our monthly show featuring teams of Improv Embassy students, on Tuesday, Dec. 18, at Avant Garde Bar, at 8 p.m. (details)
If you’re looking for a special gift for that special someone during the holidays, have you considered a comedy class? We’ve got our lineup of January/February classes up now (here).
Finally, are you interested in performing at the 2019 Ottawa Improv Festival or know someone who is? We’ve just opened up submissions (here) for the fest, which is running Feb. 28 to March 2, 2019.
